The Tampa Bay Baptist Association is honored to have entered into a partnership with the men and women of Philadelphia and the SEND -> Philadelphia team with the North American Mission Board.
We believe the Lord has called us to equip our churches to equip planters and partners to reach our own Jerusalem here in Tampa Bay, and to reach our own Judea and Samaria through an alliance with this great city.
Along with Barry Whitworth, the NAMB SEND City Coordinator in Philadelphia, we want to encourage you and all of our churches to consider how the Lord might lead you to lead your church to connect to church planting in Philadelphia. It is one of the greatest ways to stoke the missions fire of your people, and bring real, tangible support to planters in one of the least-evangelized, most strategic regions in the U.S.
Can you see yourself leading your church to consider a long-term partnership in Philly? Would you be willing to invest three-to-five years with a planter and see your ministry really have an impact up there? Here are some things to think about.
- Can you see yourself leading your church to pray for church planting in Philly?
- Can you see yourself leading your church to partner with a specific planter in Philly? … to pray for him and his family, to send short-term teams up there, to help in other ways, including financially and especially around Christmas time?
- Can you lead your church to do a vision tour to Philly? (contact firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com).
Developing a partnership with a church planter in another part of the country can be one of the most rewarding things your congregation can do. Click on the image above to launch the video, and click on the thumbnails below to learn more.
